A Wi-Fi QR is a credential
Use a guest network where possible
A guest network can keep visitor access separate from the devices on your main network. Configure that separation on your router; a QR generator does not create it.
Treat the print as sensitive
The password is encoded in the QR payload. It is not encrypted by being drawn as squares. Anyone with a copy may recover the network details.
Replace old copies after changes
If you change the network name or password, generate a new card. Remove outdated copies so visitors do not spend time trying credentials that no longer work.
Try the workflow
Use a guest network rather than your main network when sharing access with visitors. The QR contains the password, so treat a printed copy like a credential.
